Unit #4 - Asia
Resource Library

Regional Importance and Introduction:  Asia is big--really big--with lots of countries and lots of people! Asia houses the two largest countries in the world by population: India and China.  India is the world's largest democratic country in terms of population while China is not only the world's largest country in terms of population size, but it is also the world's largest Communistic country.  Add to these two countries other Asian countries such as Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, and even North Korea--among many others--and one can easily see just how important Asia is to the world.  We study Asia with this unit.
