Unit #2 - Africa
Resource Library

Regional Importance and Introduction:  Africa is big and features lots of different climates and vegetation zones. Scientists found some of what they believe is the earliest human fossils in Africa, and some of the oldest civilizations in the world such as Egypt make Africa home.  Africa has a long history of trade: salt, gold, and many other products came from this continent.  We started to study Northern Africa with the last unit.  We finish all of Africa with this unit.

Learning Target #1:  I can identify the major physical and political features of Sub-Saharan Africa.
